It is important to start life with the best possible foundation, as this has a significant impact on the rest of one’s life. When children feel safe in their daily lives and are supported in play with other children and through personal relationships with adults, they have better opportunities to develop. Therefore, we must prioritize the framework for a secure upbringing in the municipality’s care facilities, ensuring that there are:

• Staffing levels that, at the very least, meet the minimum staffing levels, effective from 2024, measured for the individual institutions
• Opportunities for professional development, responsibility, and knowledge sharing
• Physical settings that are not so optimized for space that flexibility is lost

It must be attractive to be employed in daycare centers and schools throughout Herning Municipality, so that this is where the best conditions for upbringing and development are found.
